شهدت معظم دول العالم مؤخرا تحولا اجتماعيا واقتصاديا واضحا نحو ما يسمى بمجتمع المعرفة، حيث يولد هذا المجتمع المعرفة وينشرها ويستثمرها لتحسين مستوى المعيشة ونوعية الحياة لمواطنيه بشكل مستدام، وأتى هذا التحول كمرحلة جديدة من التوجه نحو مجتمع المعلومات، وينطوي التحول إلى مجتمع المعرفة على أبعاد اجتماعية وثقافية واقتصادية وسياسية ومؤسسية ومن ثم تشمل المعرفة في هذا السياق معارف وأوجه نشاط في كل القطاعات. ويعد قطاع التعليم والتعليم العالي بالأخص هو المنوط بنشر المعرفة في المجتمع حيث أن من أهم وظائف الجامعة هو إعداد الخرجين ذوي المهارات، وإتاحة التعليم مدى الحياة للجميع، ونشر المعارف من خلال البحوث المتنوعة. على الرغم من أهمية دور الدراسات العليا بالجامعات إلا أن إدارة الدراسات العليا بجامعة المنيا تعاني من بعض أوجه القصور منها: وجود عجز في الجهاز الإداري المسئول عن المعلومات وتخزينها، كثرة الإجراءات الروتينية في عملية التسجيل والمنح للدرجات العلمية، وجود عدد كبير من الاتفاقيات العلمية الموقعة بين الجامعة وبعض الجامعات الأجنبية والعربية غير مفعلة مما يؤدي إلى هدر فرص تدريب الباحثين واطلاعهم على أحدث المعارف بالدول الأخرى. ومن هنا تتضح مشكلة الدراسة في السؤال التالي: كيف يمكن تطوير إدارة الدراسات العليا بجامعة المنيا في ضوء خصائص مجتمع المعرفة؟ تم استخدام المنهج الوصفي، أدوات الدراسة: أعدت الباحثة استبانة لقياس واقع إدارة الدراسات العليا بجامعة المنيا من وجهة نظر الباحثين وطلاب الدراسات العليا، نتائج الدراسة: قدمت الباحثة في ضوء الدراسة الميدانية تصور مقترح لتطوير إدارة الدراسات العليا بجامعة المنيا في ضوء متطلبات مجتمع المعرفة.
Most of the countries in the world recently witnessed obvious social and economic shift toward what is called the Knowledge .Society, where this community generates and disseminates knowledge donated to improve the standard of living and quality of life of its citizens in a sustainable manner. This new stage of transformation toward the information society, and involves the transition to the knowledge society, the dimensions of the social, cultural, economic, political and institutional and then include knowledge in this context, the knowledge and activity in all sectors. The sector of education and higher education and, in particular, is assigned to the dissemination of knowledge in the community as one of the most important functions of the university is to prepare graduates with the skills and lifelong education for all, and the dissemination of knowledge through research. Despite the importance of the role of graduate students, the Department of Graduate Studies at the University of mini a, suffer from some shortcomings: there was a deficit in the administrative body responsible for information storage, many routine procedures in the registration process and grants grades, the presence of a large number of scientific agreements signed between the university and some Arab and foreign universities not active, which leads to the waste of the opportunities for training researchers and brief them on the latest knowledge in other States. Hence, the problem of the study in the following question: how can the development of the Department of Graduate Studies at the University of minia in the light of the characteristics of the knowledge society? The descriptive approach was adopted, Study Tools: Researcher prepared identification to measure the reality of the Department of Graduate Studies at the University of minia, from the face of researchers and postgraduate students. The results of the study: researcher in the light of the Field Study imagine a proposal to develop the Department of Graduate Studies at the University of minia in the light of the Requirements of a knowledge society.
