المستخلص: The intensive need of new distributions forced the researchers to develop new families of distributions. One of the most new families is the transmuted family of distributions. It has two types: the sample and rank map. The quadratic transmutation map is part of the rank map. It is applied through this thesis to generate two new distributions: the transmuted Sujatha and transmuted Amarendra distributions. We have studied some properties of both distributions. A numerical application has been performed to study the properties of the two distributions. It shows that both distributions have, in general, positive skewness and kurtosis. The mean and the standard devia¬tion are increasing as the value of scale parameter increasing. A real data application is conducted to ensure the superiority of the new distributions over some other distributions. This study shows that the two distributions perform better than other distribution using real data sets.
