المستخلص: Job satisfaction is one’s positive sense about his or her job, which is driven by a set of intrinsic and extrinsic needs. Egyptian Hotels in Egypt face many challenges with regards to job satisfaction due to the current economic situation of the country in addition to the low salary scale implemented in the industry. Therefore, this study aims at exploring and measuring the intrinsic and extrinsic factors related to job satisfaction. The study aims to compare those factors in both hotels and hospitals in Egypt. The study utilized Minnesota Job Satisfaction Questionnaire as a tool to measure job satisfaction. The study found correlations between organization type, demographic attributes, intrinsic and extrinsic job satisfaction. This study is the first empirical study that focuses on intrinsic and extrinsic factors of job satisfaction in Egyptian hotels and hospitals.
