المستخلص: The purpose of this paper is it to examine the impact of person- organization fit (P-O fit) on employee engagement (EE) among academic staff members at the private higher institutes in Egypt. Participants were selected from different divisions of private higher institutes within the governorates of Cairo and Giza. A quantitative study was conducted on academic staff members and assistants. Data were gathered using self-administered questionnaires. Questionnaires were provided to 415 staff members who agreed to participate. 363 were valid and completed, which used for final data analysis. The findings of this paper showed that P-O fit positively related to employee engagement (EE). To date, little attention has been devoted to understanding the impact of P-O fit on employee engagement in the context of Egypt. This paper addresses this gap in the literature.
