المستخلص: سعت الدراسة الحالية إلى التعرف على فاعلية البرنامج التدريبي التربوي والمقدم من قبل وزارة التعليم لمعلمي الدراسات الاجتماعية بهدف تدريبهم لرفع كفاءتهم المهنية وقد تكونت عينة الدراسة من 39 معلماً، تم تدريبهم بمركز التدريب التربوي التابع لإدارة تعليم محافظة محايل عسير، وقد شمل البرنامج دروسا نموذجية تطبيقية، ومهارات واستراتيجيات حديثة في تدريس المادة بدءاً بالأهداف السلوكية، ومرورًا بإجراءات التدريس، وإدارة الصف، والقياس والتقويم، ولغرض البحث قام الباحث بإعداد الأدوات المناسبة من واقع محتوى البرنامج وتم إجراء قياسات الصدق والثبات والعرض على المحكمين وهي بطاقة الملاحظة لفهم المعلم للأهداف السلوكية، وبطاقة الملاحظة لمهارات إدارة الصف، وبطاقة ملاحظة إجراءات التقويم، وقد أظهرت نتائج البحث من خلال مقارنة أداء المعلمين (مجموعة البحث) في الإجراءين القبلي والبعدي لأدوات البحث أن هناك فروقًا ذات دلالة إحصائية بين الأداءين وذلك لصالح الأداء البعدي ويعزى ذلك للأثر الإيجابي للبرنامج التدريبي في تحقيق الأهداف التي وضع من أجلها، كما اتضح من خلال المعالجة الإحصائية فاعلية وكفاءة البرنامج التدريبي في تنمية المهارات المهنية لدى معلمي الدراسات الاجتماعية بمحافظة محايل عسير بحساب حجم التأثير للبرنامج، وفي ضوء ما توصل إليه البحث من نتائج فقد أوصى بمجموعة من التوصيات كان منها ضرورة تدريب معلمي الدراسات الاجتماعية أثناء الخدمة على كل ما هو جديد من البرامج التدريبية التطبيقية التي تؤهلهم للعمل بكفاءة وبالتالي رفع قيمة المخرجات التدريبية بما يتناسب مع الجهد والوقت ولمال المبذول فيها.

This study aims to recognize the effectiveness of the educational training program presented by Ministry of Education for social studies teachers to train and develop their professional competence. The sample consisted of (39) teachers, they have been trained in Educational Training Center attached to the Education Administration of Mahayel- Asir Governorate. The program included modeled and applied lessons, modern skills and strategies in teaching the course, beginning with behavioral objective, addressing teaching procedures, class management, and measurement and evaluation. For the purpose of the research, the researcher prepared the appropriate tools due to the reality of program content. The researcher measured the reliability, consistency, reviewed and judged by the reviewers. It is the note card of the teachers understanding for the behavioral objectives, notecard for class management skills, and a notecard of evaluation procedures. The results showed through teachers' performance comparison (research group) that the pretest and posttest for the research tools revealed statistically significant differences between the two tests for the benefit of the dimensional performance due to the positive influence of the training program in fulfilling the objectives, which prepared for this purpose. Through statistic processing, it turned out that the effectiveness and efficiency of the training program in developing the professional skills of the social studies teachers in Mahayel-Asir governorate due to the size of program impact. In the light of the research results, the researcher reached many recommendations, including the necessity of social studies teacher training during the field-training period effectively and then raising the value of training outcomes to fit the exerted efforts, time, and fund offered for this purpose.
