The present study aimed at investigating the effectiveness of SCAMPER strategy in developing EFL creative writing skills for 2nd grade preparatory stage pupils. The study participants consisted of (30) male and female pupils from Gamal abo Zekry School- Quesna- Mcnofia Governorate - Egypt The study adopted the quasi experimental pre-post design of one group- The researcher prepared two equivalent versions ot EFL creative writing skills test. The study participants was pre-tested by using EFL creative writing test (version 1). After that, the treatment group was taught according to SCAMPER strategy. The treatment lasted for seven weeks during the second semester of the academic year 2020- 2021. After the treatment, the group was post-tested using EFL creative writing test (version 2).The study results provided evidence for the effectiveness of SCAMPER strategy in developing EFL creative writing skills of preparatory stage pupils. Finally, some conclusions, recommendations, and suggestions for further research are provided.
