|b ESP has increasingly directed English learning towards meeting students' professional needs, necessitating pragmatic competence for effective communication within specific language community norms. The present study examines the role of pragmatics in ESP teaching through a questionnaire addressed to 119 master 1 postgraduate students of Business Law and an interview with three English teachers at Ahmed Draia University of Adrar. The results show that students need real-life situations to develop pragmatic skills, prompting teachers to prioritize diverse cultural perspectives and real-life communication skills.
