المستخلص: This research study explores the attitudes and opinions of Algerian parents regarding the incorporation of English cultural elements in the curriculum of primary school. The fear is that Algerian Muslim culture and those of English-speaking countries might display significant differences. To investigate this concern, a survey was handed over to a sample of 105 (N=105) Algerian parents who all have their children enrolled in Algerian public primary schools. The findings reveal that parents generally agree on teaching about English culture, but only as far as that doesn’t come into conflict with their own religious views, and that value- laden, as opposed to value-neutral, cultural elements are the least rejected by parents.
