تتناول الدراسة مسألة التطلعات الوحدوية لطلاب جامعة الكويت بالدراسة والتحليل، وتهدف إلى اكتشاف أبعاد المشاعر الوحدوية وحدودها عند طلاب الجامعة. وقد أجريت هذه الدراسة في مجرى العام الدراسي 2009- 2010 على عينة بلغت 499 طالباً وطالبة من مختلف الكليات العلمية في جامعة الكويت. وقد تناولت الميول الوحدوية لدى الطلاب نحو الوحدة الخليجية، والوحدة العربية. وقد عملت على استقراء سلم أفضليات الطلاب الوحدوية نحو دول الخليج العربي. وقد بينت الدراسة نتائج منها: - أن المشاعر الوحدوية مازالت في أوج قوتها ونشاطها وأن الأحداث الجسام التي مرت بها المنطقة زادت في الزخم المعنوي للاتجاهات الوحدوية في مختلف المستويات. - وبينت الدراسة أيضاً وجود تأثير لبعض العوامل وإلى متغيرات إذ اتضح أن الطلاب البدو أكثر ميولاً إلى الوحدة العربية من الطلاب الحضر، وأن المحافظات الأقل تمدنا أكثر ميلاً إلى الوحدة العربية.
This study addresses the question of the unitary trends of Kuwait university students through research and the analysis. It explores the dimensions and limits of the unitary feelings of the university students. The study was conducted during the academic year 2009-2010 on a sample of 499 students from both sexes, and from various science faculties at the university. It deals with four dimensions of the unitary trends among the students: the Gulf unity, the Islamic unity, the Arab unity and the state of succession. It deals with a unitary preferencial scale of the Arabic gulf states. The study comes out with several findings: It firstly reveals that the feelings of unity are still at the height of their verve and forcefulness, and shows that the big events which faced the region have increased the moral momentum of this unitary trends at different levels. The Islamic unitary trends stand at the forefront, according to the study, followed by the Gulf unity and the Arab unity. However, the study unveils the effects of some factors and variables; it was shown that the Bedouin students are more inclined than urban students to the Arab unity. And that the less urbanized provinces are, as well, more inclined to that unity. And finally, the trends of Islamic unity are stronger among students in education and law, compared with the faculties of engineering and medicine.
