المستخلص: The current study aimed at investigating the effect of using the brainstorming techniques on developing third preparatory grade students' paragraph writing skills in EFL. Learners occasionally complain that they lack ideas when sitting down to write a paragraph. Teachers complain that they do not want to spend half the class time telling students what to write. There is an answer. Teachers brainstorm words connected with the topic in class before setting the paragraph for homework. The question remains: how to brainstorm for writing. This study answers this question. A class of thirty eight students were given program in three specific brainstorming techniques. The students were then given post-test. They were also asked to give feedback on how the techniques could improve their writing.
