هدف البحث الحالي إلى التعرف على العلاقة بين التفاؤل والضغوط النفسية لدى المرشدين الطلابيين بالمرحلة الثانوية بمدينة حائل السعودية في ضوء النوع الاجتماعي والمؤهل الدراسي. ولتحقيق ذلك استخدم الباحثان المنهج الوصفي الارتباطي من خلال تطبيق القائمة العربية للتفاؤل (1) ومقياس الطريري للضغوط النفسية (2) بعد التأكد من خصائصهما السيكومترية لجمع المعلومات من المرشدين الطلابيين بالمدارس الثانوية بمدينة حائل، حيث تم سحب عينة عشوائية منتظمة بلغ عددها (200) مرشدا ومرشدة. وأشارت اهم النتائج إلى عدم وجود علاقة ارتباطية ذات دلالة إحصائية بين التفاؤل والضغوط النفسية لدي المرشدين الطلابيين بالمرحلة الثانوية بمدينة حائل، وعدم وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية في الضغوط النفسية بين المرشدين الطلابيين بمدينه حائل تعزى للنوع والمؤهل الدراسي، وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية في التفاؤل لدي المرشدين الطلابيين بمدينة حائل تعزى للنوع وعدم وجود فروق تعزى للمؤهل الدراسي. وكما قدم الباحثان مجموعة من التوصيات والمقترحات البحثية المستقبلية بناء على ما توصلا إليه من نتائج.
