المستخلص: The present study aimed at investigating the effect of a teaching strategy based on the principles and the basics of text language approach in developing informative speech analysis skills for speakers of other languages at the advanced level - the purpose of broadcasting as one of the purposes of teaching Arabic to speakers of other languages - the sample included 13 researchers who are interested in broadcasting. This is one experimental sample upon which the suggested strategy was administered. The study included a teacher's guide, instructions for administering the strategy and a test for informative speech analysis skills which was pre and post administered. Results revealed the effectiveness of the suggested strategy. As there is a statistically significant difference between the pre and post test administrations for the researchers in the advanced level favoring the post administration. The sludy presented some recommendations concerning the skills of informative speech analysis in the Arabic teaching courses for specific purposes, and training teachers on achieving them. The study also suggested some research projects related to the field study.
