المستخلص: يهدف البحث إلى إنجاز دراسة نظرية تتصل بأهمية إعداد المدرسين وفق مدخل الكفايات والوصول إلى منظومة من الكفايات الأساسية والشرعية التي ينبغي أن يكتسبها المدرس الناجح من وجهة نظر الموجهين الاختصاصيين وكذلك الوصول إلى قائمة من الصفات الشخصية التي ينبغي أن يتحلى بها المدرس الناجح من وجهة نظر طلبة المرحلة الثانوية، استخدم الباحث المنهج الوصفي التحليلي وقد طبق البحث على (78) موجها اختصاصيا وموجهة اختصاصية يشرفون على المدرسين والمدرسات في مدينة دمشق لتعرف أهم الكفايات اللازمة وفق المحاور الثلاثة الأكاديمية، والتروية النفسية، والوظيفية المهنية وعلى (1072) طالبا وطالبة من الصفين الأول والثاني الثانويين لتعرف الصفات التي يرون أن من الضروري أن يتحلى بها المدرسي الناجح.
وبينت نتائج البحث أهمية الكفايات الأكاديمية وتفرعاتها، وكذلك التروية والنفسية وما اشتملت عليه من كفايات فرعية، وكذلك الأمر نفسه بخصوص الكفايات المهنية والوظيفية، كما رتب الطلبة خمس صفات للمدرس الناجح حسب الأهمية:
متمكن من مادته- محترم ويحترم الآخرين- ذكي - مخلص ومتفان- محاور ومناقش.
وخلص البحث إلى مجموعة من المقترحات من أهمها:
أن تأخذ مؤسسات إعداد المدرس في سورية والكليات الجامعية المختصة بعين الاعتبار أهمية الكفايات والصفات التي يجب أن يتحلى بها المدرس كي يكون ناجحا ولا سيما تلك الصفات التي حصلت على أعلى الدرجات من نتائج هذه الدراسة مع السعي الحثيث من أجل إكساب المدرسين قبل الخدمة وفي أثنائها تلك الكفايات وتلك الصفات.

The research aims to accomplish a theoretical study related to the importance of preparing teachers according to the approach of competencies and to access a system of basic and legitimate competencies that the successful teacher should acquire from the point of view of the specialize supervisors as well as to reach the list of personal qualities that the successful teacher should have from the secondary stage students' point of view.
The researcher used the descriptive analytical approach. The research was applied to (78) male and female specialized supervisors supervising on male and female teachers in the city of Damascus to know the most important competencies required according to the three axes; academic, psychological educational and professional occupational. It was applied on (1072) male and female students from the first and second secondary grades to know the qualities that they consider necessary for a successful school teacher.
The results of the research showed the importance of academic competencies and their ramifications, as well as educational and psychological and the sub - competencies, as well as the same with regard to professional and functional competencies. The students ranked five characteristics to the successful teacher according to the importance:
Mastery of his material –respectful and respects the others – intelligent – sincere and dedicated –interlocutor and discusser.
The research concluded with a series of proposals, the most importance are:
The teacher preparation institutions in Syria and the relevant university colleges should take into account the importance of the competencies and the qualities that the teacher should have in order to be successful, especially those qualities that have obtained the highest grades of the results of this study striving to provide pre and in-service teachers with these competencies and those qualities.
