|d At the academic level, reading is a crucial skill that learners need to develop. This article aims at shedding light on reading comprehension by referring to the different reading strategies that facilitate the interaction with the text in order to get the meaning. The metacognitive strategies play an important role in the preparation for the reading task and in learning about one’s reading skill. In addition, in the age of the technological advancement, Information and communication tools have certain impact on the reading skill with the invention of e- reading in opposition to the traditional way of reading.
