المستخلص: That study tackle aims at knowing the effect of Meryl- Tennyson two methods in acquiring and the development of historical concepts and the development of inductive thinking for teacher preparation institute In order to achieve the aim of the study, the researcher put two hypotheses, the first is there are statistically siguificant differences at the in the scores of students of the experimental of the study in the acquisition of historical terms. The second is there are no statistically significant differences scores of students of the experimental of the study in the development of inductive thinking. The researcher used an experimental design with partial design and chose randomly third stage students from the teacher Preparation institute in Falluja, affiliated to The General Directorate of education in Anbar. The sample consisted of (95) students as (33) students of the first group who were taught according to the selection model amid (30) student of the second selective group taught according o Meryl-Tennyson and (32) student and the control group in the traditional methods. The researcher matched the two groups of the study in the variables of: intelligence, previous knowledge test, pretest of the inductive thinking, the parent education and age calculated in months. After the researcher determined the scientific materials to be taught which included the five first chapters of the textbook of The Islamic Arab History for the third grade to be taught in the academic year 2010/2011. In the light of the content the researcher determine the historical terminology which was (15) terms. In the light of these terms, the researcher adopted the behavioral objectives of (45) a\to measure the process of acquisition (definition, distinguish, application). He also adopted plans to teach them as 24 per group. The researcher adopted a test of scores of students of the experimental of the study in the acquisition of historical terms the multiple choice type made up of 45 items then verified it validity (apparent validity, validity of content),and the distinguish power and then taking them out by using Alfa-Cronbach equation. Then, the researcher corrected them by using Spearman brown equation of 82 which is good. The researcher papered a test of inductive thinking and then verified its apparent validity and the construction vality and he derived also the constancy test using the partial division of (0.56) and then corrected it using Spearman brown equation of 0.79 which is good constancy coefficient. The researcher taught the three groups himself in an experiment that started on Monday 4/10/2010 and ended on Monday 10/1/2011. In order to statistically process data, he used the one-way analysis of variation and the Method of Chevet and showed the following: 1. The excellence of the first group student who were taught according to the model of selective on the second experimental group according Meryl- Tennyson two methods in the acquisition of the historical terminology and the development of the inductive thinking. 2. The excellence of the first group student who were taught according to the model of selective and the second experimental group according Meryl- Tennyson two methods over the control group in the acquisition of the historical terminology and the development of the inductive thinking.
