|b The aim of this study is to identify the positions and views of Arabic learners as a second language towards extensive reading on mobile and interactive activities in the Reading Club on WhatsApp. A number of students at Arabic Linguistics Institute, King Saud University participate in a 14-week extensive reading program on mobile, where students would read authentic texts of their choice and then discuss the topics read through the Reading Club, both vocal and written, about the general meaning of the text read. The study examines students’ preferences for extensive reading on mobile, the impact of extensive mobile reading and the following activities in motivation, and the development of students' different skills, as well as interaction and communication. The study also addresses the types of reading topics that learners tend to read on mobile and reviews the problems and difficulties faced by students. The study uses the descriptive approach using various tools, including questionnaire, interview, documents and observation. The study results in various findings and provides different recommendations.

|a هدفت هذه الدراسة إلى الوقوف على توجهات متعلمي العربية لغة ثانية، نحو القراءة الموسعة على الجوال والأنشطة التفاعلية في نادي القراءة على واتس آب. شارك عدد من طلاب اللغة العربية لغير الناطقين بها، في معهد اللغويات العربية، بجامعة الملك سعود في برنامج للقراءة الموسعة على الجوال لمدة أربعة عشر أسبوعا، حيث يقرأ الطلاب نصوصا أصيلة من اختيارهم، تم يتناقشون حول الموضوعات المقروء عبر نادي القراءة (مجموعة على تطبيق واتس آب)، صوتيا وكتابيا، حول المعنى العام للنص المقروء. تناولت الدراسة مستوى تفضيل الطلاب للقراءة الموسعة عبر الجوال، وأسباب ذلك، ومدى تأثير القراءة الموسعة عبر الجوال والأنشطة التالية في التحفيز والدافعية، وتطوير مهارات الطلاب المختلفة، والتفاعل والتواصل اللغوي، كما تناولت مجالات موضوعات القراءة الموسعة التي يميل المتعلمون لقراءتها على الجوال، واستعرضت المشكلات والصعوبات التي واجهت الطلاب. استخدمت الدراسة المنهج الوصفي من خلال استخدام أدوات مختلفة، اشتملت على الاستبانة، والمقابلة، والوثائق، والملاحظة، وأسفرت عن عدد من النتائج، وقدمت عددا من التوصيات.
